This west coast home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms spread over its two floors and 3257 square feet of total living space. Building a home on a small island off British Columbia’s coast comes with its challenges, but with Pacific Homes’ expertise, the entire project was able to come together seamlessly. The home’s owner came to us with with the design and floor plan that she created herself. Our design and engineering teams then took those plans and turned them into a formalized buildable rendering, working with the homeowner throughout the process. The result is this breathtaking home that perfectly matches her original vision and is custom tailored to its unique lot size and shape.
Overlooking their private dock on the bay, a highlight of this west coast home plan is the sprawling deck and patio with a built-in pool. The open concept space on the main floor was designed to flow into this outdoor living area. This increases the effective living space significantly in the summer months. Inside, the kitchen, dining room and great room are combined to create an expansive space for the homeowners and all of their guests.
Also overlooking the Pacific Ocean below, the main bedroom offers an ample amount of space, with a massive walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom that features dual sinks and a drop in bathtub. The floors second bathroom is sandwiched between the kitchen and the second bedroom. Also included on the main floor is a sizable pantry, a laundry room and an office that fills the space between bedrooms.
The basement floor plan’s crowning jewel is an expansive rec room that fills the same space as the combined kitchen, dining room and great room above. This room also includes a wet bar, making it the perfect place to enjoy time with company. The third bathroom resides below the master bedroom above, equipped with its own very large walk-in closet. The floor also includes the third bathroom, some extra closet space and a large amount of additional storage.
These homeowners were a thrill to work with throughout the entire custom home creation process. Recently, we were lucky enough to visit their newly completed house, filming more footage of the home and interviewing them as they go through the entire experience of building a Pacific Home. Keep an eye on our Youtube channel as those videos will be posted soon!
