Pacific Homes was thrilled to donate the brand new Playhouse for the new $30 million dollar Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver, BC.
The Ronald McDonald house was designed by Michael Green Architecture and this delightful new Playhouse is situated in the foyer of the House adorning the names of all the donors on the exterior walls. Michael Green contacted BC Wood to find a local company who was interested in being a part of this unique opportunity and naturally BC Wood reached out to Pacific Homes. We were very excited by the opportunity and gladly jumped on board. The Playhouse was built in our warehouse in four prefab sections that are now put together onsite. Along with the efforts of those at Pacific Homes, we were grateful for the help and enthusiasm of Anderson Forest Products Limited who graciously donated all the beautiful, Vancouver Island sourced, vertical grain fir. And the students of Shawnigan Lake School who came and helped out with the finishing touches, such as sanding.
We’re extremely excited for the families to be able to make themselves at home here and for the kids to enjoy the Playhouse.
