In 2010 we were in the position you find yourself in right now. Planning to build your dream home and attempting to find the best way to do it. The best way for us was with Pacific Homes.
From the start our sales rep (Scott Robertson) was very knowledgeable and patient as we asked all the questions. He walked us through the process until we were comfortable with it, because it’s important to have confidence in the company, its people and its products. We toured the assembly plant in Cobble Hill and also visited a local Pacific Homes package under construction. We saw the quality of the materials; dry lumber, precision cut and assembled, delivered in sections for quick and easy assembly – our walls went up in 2 days and each section fit like a glove! Two years later- no “nail pops” on any of our exterior walls.
We also liked that the rigid insulation was engineered into the wall sections. No gaps or cold spots. We had our home audited for EnerGuide labeling and scored an 84, which is considered very efficient. Makes the Hydro bills a lot easier to take!
The Pacific Homes package we ordered included windows and exterior doors, hardware and all the necessary building materials so we weren’t constantly running into town for odds and ends. It made life a little easier, a few less things to worry about.
We liked the fact that there was very little waste material. We kept our site clean and organized and are proud to say that nothing from the package went to a landfill.
Considering what we were getting – we felt we got very good value for our money with Pacific Homes and they were great people to work with, delivering on all their promises.
We’ve been in our “dream home” two years now, no problems – loving it!
